BMW M3 E36 Matter Gr.N 3200cc

Available at CMS Racing Cars: an authentic BMW E36 “Matter” Gr.N, featuring an original, stock E36 M3 3.2 engine (330 hp / 1100 kg), dyno-tested in 2025. Equipped with “Life” engine management electronics. The engine utilizes the cylinder head and VANOS system from the 3.0-liter version.

Engine and Drivetrain: OEM 5-speed ZF gearbox. Complete original clutch assembly. M3 3.2 oil pan with corresponding oil pump. New, full stainless-steel competition exhaust system with an X-pipe configuration. Fully original differential with a competition final drive ratio.

Chassis: Original “Matter” chassis, complete with its authentic FIA homologation certificate. The chassis has been professionally restored—preserving all original components—and fully repainted. Oram shock absorbers (fully serviced; front units are adjustable). All four wheel bearings are new. Original BMW steering rack. All polyurethane bushings are new. Reinforced engine and transmission mounts.

Interior and Electronics: Simplified wiring harness; period-correct STACK dashboard integrated with the new “Life” engine management system. New battery. Complete fire suppression system for both the cockpit and engine bay. The bucket seat and safety harnesses are past their homologation expiry dates (intentionally left expired to avoid soiling new components during testing).

Brakes: Front brake calipers (Brembo) fully serviced and equipped with a cooling system. New Brembo floating front brake discs. New PFC front brake pads. Rear brake calipers fully overhauled using original BMW spare parts. New aeronautical-grade brake lines.

Original BMW OEM fuel tank, equipped with internal competition-grade foam (MERIN) and compliant with FIA specifications.

Engine components have been cleaned using a specialized dry ice blasting process.

A comprehensive documented record of the entire vehicle restoration has been compiled.

All spare parts and the original set of BMW wheels (magnesium) will be included with the car.
